My Story...
So, I suppose you would love to know just how it ALL began...
First of all, I am Heather Alexandra. The Alexandra is my middle name and my late mum's beautiful name.
Mum, the incredible woman who introduced me to makeup in the beginning as a young child watching her applying her own "face" every morning.
Having had a long standing love affair, for over 35 years, with the world of beauty and makeup, I had always had a burning ambition to become a Makeup Artist, so almost 10 years ago I had a complete change of career and
re-trained as a Beauty Therapist. This had an element of makeup, but not nearly enough for me...
So, I went on to do much more training with one of the world leading cosmeceutical organisations in
mineral makeup, Jane Iredale, gaining my qualification as a Makeup Artist, I continued my training with
The London School of Beauty and Makeup, gaining a further qualification in Bridal Makeup. At this point, I completely threw myself into bridal which rather quickly became my favourite style and successfully led to dozens of bridal makeup bookings each year, wedding photoshoots, making-up catwalk models at Wedding Showcases, and even having some of my work published in bridal editorials. I have more clients than ever requesting 1-2-1 makeup lessons, and I've also hosted some fun pop-up makeup demonstrations in boutiques to exclusive groups of women. I am nothing if not a perfectionist especially when it comes to make up and you will not leave to walk down the aisle until you are feeling completely flawless.
I truly love nothing more than to empower women by using makeup, making them feel the very best version of themselves, providing tips and advice along the way on how to apply makeup correctly, perfecting their look by using the right products and tools, enhancing their natural beauty, but all the time, considering their facial characteristics, skin type and age. With a background in medical grade skincare, I can also guide you in attaining the very best healthy, glowing skin preparation ahead of your Wedding Day. I only ever use tried and trusted make up products which I love and can create looks using entirely mineral makeup or other luxury make up brands including Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, Urban Decay and MAC, to name a few.
Years down the line and my passion is stronger than ever and a busier diary year on year, it really is my dream job!
