Well hello!
Before you think, oh goodness, a low mood blog post, I can wholeheartedly say, it's not! So, “please keep reading”. I feel I should firstly address my absence on socials. As many of you may know, I very sadly lost my beautiful dad suddenly in December 2022 and life became really quite overwhelming with such a lot to sort out and without his usual incredible guidance, it seemed unbelievably difficult. I also made the decision to step away from salon life and retreat back to bridal makeup and I am VERY happy to say that I did and here I still am!
I’m starting the year with the ambition to post a blog once a month, more if the mood (and time) allow me! In true ‘Heather’ style, I’ve made a list, [laughs]… of blogs I’d love to write with some ad-hoc blogs about life, family and general stuff too, no doubt, so strap yourself in and get ready to come along on this journey with me. I’m so excited for this new year, meeting lots of new brides, their bridesmaids and families, visiting beautiful venues, meeting up with some incredible wedding suppliers and helping to add just a little bit of my creative flair and sparkle into one of the most magical days of a bride’s life.
For those of you who have followed me for years, you’ll see I have freshly
re-modelled website and beautiful new logo, thank you SO much Vicki CJ for ALL of your help, advice, time and patience. The salon is now a distant memory and restrictions on my time no longer hold me back. Free from the salon and all of the juggling that came with it, I am utterly dedicated to my career in makeup, in all forms, but especially bridal parties and 1-2-1 bespoke lessons, imparting my wisdom of using the right tools and products to create the most perfect looks. Educating women (young and old) with their own makeup and recommending some great new additions to their makeup bags too… without breaking the bank… well, perhaps one or two incredible high-end staples that no woman should be without, but don’t forget, I also have a solid background in skincare and still shout from the rooftops about Environ, just ask me more because I'm ready to help you get your glow on! My Insta page will also be having a little revamp as I go forward, with new images more related to bridal and makeup and the occasional ‘home life’ too, so please bear with me. This year is already looking busy, with trials starting this weekend and I simply cannot wait to pick my brushes up!
