Time to Catch Up!

Well hello again, grab a cuppa, a coffee, glass of wine, it has been a very long time since my last blog and what a quick-paced year this has been so far, I can't quite believe how rapidly we approached Autumn, and now we are officially in"cosy season" and what better time to think about a change to our skincare regime and seasonal makeup look.

So, where have I been? Well, as many of you know, I closed my salon almost 4 years ago, sadly after a sudden family loss - I took some time off to reset, spent many hours in my garden, time with family, our pets and doing home renovations and then I returned to bridal just over 2 years ago which I've absolutely loved and continue to thrive in, but I did miss seeing my facial, brow and lash clients, with many asking if I would ever "come back". I have always loved doing treatments on the face more than anything else so I've brought them all together. So, after a little thought and a lengthy chat with Mr T, during May, we took the decision to convert a gorgeous room into a cosy, relaxing and calm treatment room, nestled in a peaceful part of our home and I'm delighted to say that for the last few weeks, I have been providing some wonderful treatments, bridal trials and makeup 1-2-1 lessons in this beautiful environment and I'm loving every minute of it and so have all of you the clients who have visited.

What else? Well my bespoke 1-2-1 makeup lessons are proving to be a real hit and it's always so fun having a good rummage about in someone else's makeup bag, hearing about their makeup and skincare routines and then providing clients with upgrades and advice on both! Ultimately, your makeup will sit better and last longer on a well nourished, hydrated, healthy skin and that is why since June, I've refreshed and updated my training with the Award Winning Environ skincare. Skincare and makeup go hand-in-hand remember and Environ's facials and products are both targeted not only for those with problematic skin, acne scarring or signs of ageing, but all of us who just want to have the ultimate, healthy skin with all of the anti-ageing benefits to plump, firm, reduce wrinkles and fine lines, reduce redness and texture without the need for harsh acid peels, injectibles or surgical procedures. These incredible science backed facials drive the products way beyond surface level to reach the deeper cell regeneration layers and that's where change happens! It's incredible to see the difference and the confidence it gives clients. Environ facials were one of my favourite treatments to do when I had my salon and are once again.

It's also been a busy time since spring with trials and weddings, a super range of beautiful women, having the most wonderful day of their lives in some stunning locations. I never take for granted how special it is to be a part of their day, it is a real privilege to spend it with them, during one of the most private moments of their life and I just adore the bridal trials, hearing all about their colour choices, flowers, hair and dress styles and then creating their ideal makeup look, that's when it all comes together for them and they can visualise their final wedding day look. On the wedding day itself, the atmosphere is just so much fun with all the bridesmaids giggly and excited and they love being made up too. A dream job some would say... even with the very early starts and usually no lifts, just fabulous staircases at some of the older, gorgeous venues. It is still a pinch-me moment that I get to call what I do, my job.

What's next? More training so I can add further treatments to my menu, bookings for my treatment room continue to flow in and bridal enquiries continue to increase for 2027 and into 2028! It's just so great to be back doing exactly what I love doing, it's so uplifting and exciting!

I'll leave this here for now and just say, I'm looking forward to seeing you soon and hope you enjoyed the read!

Love Heather x x x
